Prof. Chris Groves Came to China and negotiated Sino-America Cooperation

    Prof.Chris Groves,the director of the Hoffman Environmental Research Institute, Western Kentucky University and the Chairman of IGCP 513, came to China to negotiate Sino-America cooperation in the future years (2006-2007) by request of Academician Daoxian Yuan. The cooperation that will be carried out, as the accessorial project of IGCP 513 mainly touched upon the rock-desertification harness, water supply in karst regions, water-related environmental problems in karst regions and karst aquifer/landscape systems in Southwest China . Moreover, Prof. Chris Groves also made splendid lecture about 《 Groundwater Sensitivity and Vulnerability Mapping in the South Central Kentucky Karst Region 》 and 《 The Role of Cave Surveyand Exploration in the Protection of the World's Longest Cave System: Mammoth Cave Kentucky, USA 》 for the graduate students.
