General Purposes

1.1 Based on the law of movement and transfer of matter and energy in earth system, to study the dynamic mechanisms and processes of karst formation;

1.2 To develop the theory of modern karstology through interdisciplinary research, and provide scientific information for solving a series of resources and environment problems in karst areas;

1.3 To exert the advantage of karst in China, and attract scholars from home and abroad to make cooperative research, to bring up scientific and technical experts with high qualification, and eventually to form a research center of modern karstology.
